my close friend steph reminded me of this song. i haven’t heard it in a long time. everyone knows mariah carey’s version but the original is always going to be the best. this song is so sexy yet sad at the same time. i’ve been listening to it a lot lately. there’s so much emotion expressed in the chorus that other songs can’t even touch. maybe it’s the way mr. nilsson sings the song too. the picture that he paints is so vivid… so real. it reminds me of a couple who have just parted ways at the airport. they give each other a long tight hug without a look back. sad… so sad.
