my most ultimate favorite of all cookies of all time is LU’s le petit ecolier. in fact, i’ve just finished two in about 1minute. okay, fine maybe two in two minutes. they are just sooooo good. i’ve enjoyed these cookies since… forever. i can’t even remember when i first had them. but i know that i always buy them when they are on sale. i cannot bring myself to spend over $3 on a box of cookies with only 12 inside. i can only buy them when they are on sale: 2 for $5. why? because i can eat the whole box in one sitting. that’s why. http://www.lubiscuits.com/varieties.html i just visited the website and found it interesting that they include the french pronunciation of each cookie. how funny! the story of how LU came about is so romantic. started in 1850, mr. lefevre married ms. utile thus the birth of the LU butter cookie in the seaside town of nantes, fr.
there are other cookies made by LU, but the little schoolboy butter biscuits topped with pure milk chocolate is the best.
one hundred fifty-six years later, i am buying le pet it ecolier and i imagine eating the cookie as i sit somewhere in france with mon ecolier.
