le petit dejeuner

my cousin danica and i painted yesterday afternoon. we sat on the porch with our easel, brushes and paint in hand. we were trying to look for inspiration in nature or something man made.
we talked with an artist while at union square. we fell in love with his abstract style and he was kind enough to tell us about each one of his paintings.
i asked him how much his work goes for, he said about $1050. WOW, but so worth it. next time i get an inkling to buy another louis vuitton, i think that i will just buy a REAL piece of art.
in the mean time, i painted this one as i did not find inspiration from nature yesterday. i call this one breakfast because this IS my breakfast. …. hmmm now that i think about it, i think that i will paint a series. my next one will be a starbucks cup with a yoplait yogurt then a starbucks and a bowl of oatmeal.
