i never realized that there is a link between the pill and your sex drive. i guess i understand IF the pill increases the amount of SHBG in your body. this protein attaches to testosterone. testosterone is the cause of sexual desire. BUT only T that is bio-available (not attached to shbg) is what actually gives you your sex drive.

so, if you are taking the pill… then your SHBG increases. an increase in SHBG causes a decrease in bio-available testosterone. lower bio-availability in T = lower sex drive in women.

OR in the case of men, their libido decreases as they age because they experience an increase in this protien when they age.

men’s T levels are at their peak in their late teens to early 20s. women’s T levels peak in their 30s. isn’t mother nature just grand !?!?

so, what am i saying?????

i’m at my sexual peak, i’m not on the pill AND there is no one else in my bed. so, again i ask you … isn’t mother-nature grand????!!!!!???
