[ MORE: personal values clarification ]

i sought a career counselor last year and we did a PERSONAL VALUES CLARIFICATION. we found the things that i need in my life for me to be fulfilled. one of them is:

i want to make a positive impact on people’s lives through my presence, knowledge and care. through my heart and brain.

a response to this post confirms that i’m helping someone:

Thank you so much for your letter! I found some great tips on your website.
You are right. I was looking for someone who could show me or teach me how to change the way I think. I didn’t know there was such a thing like cognitive behavior therapy. That sounds great!
Thank you for all the tips on where to find a more affordable help. I’ll check into it.
I have seen someone yesterday in Catholic Charities. They do counseling and therapy for lower income households (no religion involved). I liked my new therapist so far. She was very nice and understanding. I hope her practices include some of CBT.

I will also try to look for some support groups for my husband. It is a little hard to get him to such a place but I truly believe he could benefit from meeting other people that share similar problems. Thank you for the tips where I could start looking. I had no idea where to turn. It helps a lot to give me a little start point.

Please let me know if I can help somehow as well.

    Thank you very much.
