ok. it was hot today, but it was tolerable. i brought down all the shades so NO SUN came in to heat up my place. I just worked all day. i guess i’ve also been itching to buy a couch-chaise-set or couch-chair-ottoman. i want more of an adult look in my loft. i’m trying to hold off on it as long as i can. i found something at west elm that i really like. it’s more affordable than … say … pottery barn. because i was itching to buy a couch, i thought i’d go down to the local IKEA and check out their couches. the one that was an option came in yucky green only. the leather option was affordable, but i slip off of the slippery leather. it’s really nice though. here are the sofas that i want:

west elm options:

my ultimate first choice is the armless sofa and chair,
but the other one is more affordable.



i also got some plants. i put one behind my chair and one in the living room. man, those plants really pulled the rooms together. my office feels like it belongs there now. i’ll take a picture of it tomorrow. i think it’s really nice and i’m happy with how it turned out.

i sat outside again and ate dinner and worked on the computer. i wish i could’ve stay out later, but i felt like i was getting attacked by bugs! i even lit a centinela candle and it still didn’t work. look how pretty it was outside.
