another fun evening. i’m glad i’m getting back in touch with my friends.

so, i headed over to west hollywood. to visit my friend DGEL. oh my gosh! the traffic was sooo bad! i forgot that i have so much patience. i arrive to my friend’s house a bit late, but it’s cool. i toured his new place. it is an architectural beauty. the previous owner is a hollywood executive and the house has been in an architectural magazine. i don’t remember who the architect is, but his signature is having a bridge over the pool. i got the grand tour. he showed me a painting and he said …. do you recognize that? i looked at it and i’m like … that’s a nice lithograph …. i told him about my arm-and-a-leg picasso study for guernica. Yeah, i guess his was a real Paul Gauguin. one of his patients owns it and it was leant to DGEL -ONLY- if he put in a state of the art alarm system. i’ll try to find a photo of it so you can enjoy it too…. it’s crazy though cause i recognized it right away.

we got upstairs and i immediately was attracted to his formal breakfast table - now in the bedroom. it’s a modern piece. he’s got the tulip chair that mimic’s eame’s molded chairs with the matching table he said i’m the first person to appreciate the set and i’m looking at him like … are you kidding me??? each chair is more than $1000 and it’s AN ART PIECE and you don’t even know what your interior decorator bought for you??? anyways, moving into the bedroom, he points up at the ceiling and he goes: do you know what that is? i look up and i’m like YEAH! it’s a fire sprinkler. he’s all nope. is it for your house’s remote control? he’s all nope. turns out it’s what you would hook the pole to. yup … he had a girl friend who took pole dancing classes. i didn’t believe it until i looked behind the couch and saw the pole. FAB-U-LUS. so we go out into his little step out and he points out his neighbor’s house - that being halle barry - and some other actor that i missed because i was too busy trying to see if i can catch a glimpse of halle. turns out that i didn’t have to try to see her so hard because he joked that he had a halle-scope downstairs!

we went out to the front so i can grab my jacket from my car. i parked in front of the convertible lexus thinking we were going to take that … but no… we went back inside and went into the garage. i thought we were going to take the lamborghini, but no … he just bought a new bentley, so he wanted to play with his new toy. he replaced his other one with this one. i do have to say that i prefer the one he has now. twin turbo -500 something horsepower with seat butt warmers. i love it!

it’s a beautiful car. i joked that it’s not good enough for me and that i expected to drive in a phantom. he said bijan let’s him borrow his phantom so, perhaps next time, we’ll be on the sunset strip in that. OK.

i do have to say that as much as i appreciated that beautiful car, i felt kinda retarded riding in it with him. i mean … i look like i’m in my early 20’s and my friend DGEL is not exactly in his 30’s or 40’s. remember? he used to be an account when i was in pharmaceuticals? so i felt like one of those gold digging girls. i’m glad that because i sank into the seat, you can barely see me in the car. going out with him not wearing my suite was weird just because people can think stuff. his friend russ and russ’ girlfriend caught up with us for a drink and i was expecting an “older” guys with a 20 year old. i was surprised to see someone my age with a girl without a 20 year age difference. i guess they met during one of those lamborghini touring drives up and down the california coast. the guy was a set designer for the tv show will and grace. again, i felt uncomfortable cause i was thinking that this guy is thinking that i’m there for … you know what … when DGEL is my favorite doctor and a friend. again i felt that yucky feeling when we were at the cigar shop buying some cigars.

all in all, i had a great time. it was great talking about what caused both of our divorce. he and barbara were together for 25 years and i was with S2BX for 10. our relationships only had two things in common and that is we both felt a lack of support from our partners and we were both with our partners before anyone had any money. so we all started out together. that’s what i loved about my relationship with S2BX. he and i built everything that we had together. no thoughts of gold digging girls or boys … i look at DGEL and S2BX and i know that that’s gonna be one of the first things that girls will want. S2BX once told me that i’m the only one he can ever trust to love him for him and not for the money or status. because i was with him before he had anything. i guess i don’t have to worry about that since i’m not rich.

i was just thinking … not that i’m making any plans or anything, but … it’s kinda cool that my FRENCHIE is still doing medicine and i’m starting a new thing. we are both starting out together in a sense. if we stay together, it means that we will build something together too from the ground up. i like that idea. if things don’t work out … i think i will only feel comfortable with a poor boy who is just starting out. i think i would feel kinda … i don’t know, but because i have a little bit of money, i can still experience nice things like travel and fabulous food with a poor boy. so it’s all good. it’s set. my next marriage - IF I GET MARRIED again - is going to be with a younger - a lot younger guy.

oooh … gotta go. i have to meet my friend stevie-wonder-bread at his apartment. we are going to go out to lunch and watch spiderman!!! since he lives in the OC, maybe i can catch up with some of my friends who will be at the urology meeting at disneyland.
