Hi K,

I have an appointment in Palo Alto Thursday, June 7th at 12 noon. I’d like to pick up the settlement agreement after 1pm so that I can have S2BX sign it and filed with the courts asap. I understand that B had surgery and that you are doing the typing, but it will be three weeks since our last contact and seven weeks since I sent you the information on how he and I will divide everything. We’ve both just went ahead and did it ourselves rather than wait for the paperwork to be filed. All of the following have already been done: …….

my lawyer’s response:

M: I apologize for not getting your paperwork to you sooner. With not only my hand surgery on May 16th, but the
press of business before and afterwards, yours got put on the back burner since the other matters were more “urgent” and I hope that you will understand. I am on my way out of town for business the remainder of the week. I will do what I can to get the Agreement and other documents done tomorrow, but may have to finish them over the weekend, remotely. If that is the case, I will have everything done by first of next week for you. So, please, call before coming in on Thursday to see if everything is finished.
Again, I hope you understand.

once this is done, it’s one less thing i have to try to be on top of.

i guess it’s like what a former manager used to say: out of sight out of mind or was it the squeaky wheel gets the oil … something like that.



NICKIE went to bed at about 8:30pm and didn’t wake up until 8 this morning! she was sooo tired from her one city block walk! i made her walk the last leg home. i think she’s sore today… she’s walking on the wood floor funny……no cleaning up after her this morning. she ate her breakfast and i noticed that she looked uncomfortable, so i thought i’d take her to a peepee pad. i stared at her so she would use the pad. she did! then, we went outside and she dropped some babies! it was sooo gross. all sticky. my dad says it’s because she’s just getting used to the new food that i’m giving her. well, i wish she’d get used to them already! i’m scrapping the sidewalk for left overs AND i’m using wet wipes to get the rest off. we don’t want others walking on sticky left overs you know!
