Hmmmm. I wonder if our vision of intimacy is the same.

An example that I read is that let’s say “person A” feels that intimacy really is hearing I love you and that the thought of not hearing those words for a life time is like living in the desert of emotions. Let’s say “person B” feels that saying those words are mechanical and perfunctory and that they undervalue his true feelings. For him, intimacy is nver saying it and the vision of a future lifetime of having to do something perfunctory for the rest of his life feels like and emotional desert.

Person A and B both sees intimacy differently. This is difficult because both people want intimacy but they just want totally different things = incompatible wants.
